A review: spread and prevention of some common viral infections in community facilities and domestic homes
The paper highlights that viruses are probably the most common cause of infections acquired indoors and that gastrointestinal and respiratory viral infections spread rapidly in within families and the community.Person-to-person transmission via hands and surfaces plays a key role in the spread of viral infections, and improved targeted hygiene (personal or environmental) has a considerable impact on the control and prevention of viral infections.
